Videos of some challenging weather days and when my guidance becomes more crucial.

Sometimes we don't always get calm days with beautiful sunshine. Sometimes the weather can turn unexpectedly or we decide to go out knowing it won't be the best.

This is when my guidance and experience really matters!

Understanding when to turn back or when to push on is key.

Understanding the subtle hints someone is  not ok .

All of this comes from years of experience fully integrated myself with nature, and testing my limits in some truly challenging conditions.

Wet and Windy on a Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge.

The day started foggy, windy and warm and luckily the rain stayed light until the final peak of the day. The ascent up Pen-y-Ghent soon turned tricky with increasing gale force winds and driving horizontal rain!

By the summit and descent, which was slow due to the steepness, everyone was wet through, cold, visibilty was minimum and the winds were making normal walking difficult. Keeping everyone together and making sure everyone had extra layers on, made a tricky situation more bearable until we could get low enough and warm up.

Unexpected snow on Ben Nevis in October.

Although there was some light rain this day, no snow was forecast. On the way down we were hit with a flurry of snow with some huge flakes.

Wet weather and river crossings on the Cape Wrath Trail.

The first few days of the Cape Wrath Trail started wetter than expected. After our first night's camp out we had a river crossing as there was no bridge. Choosing the right time and location to cross can make all the difference to safety.

 Testimonials

 Emma C. on Stob Ban

"Feeling so grateful to have experienced the stunning Stob Ban, with my best friend and our wonderful guide Glen. The circular route has it all; lush woodlands, pretty streams and waterfalls, meandering paths, a stunning ridge and a quick scramble to the summit.

The route was expertly led by Glen who was a fountain of knowledge and ensured we were safe to enjoy all the mountains had to show us.

We are looking forward to our next adventure already!

Blair. H on Ben Nevis sunrise walk

A fantastic trip that exceeded expectations! The walk led by Glen started just after midnight and we managed to summit Ben Nevis in time to watch an incredible sunrise. Couldn't have been better with both the conditions and the planning.

Glen was encouraging and friendly as expedition leader and was very attentive to all group members needs. Making sure everyone was OK and managing the walking pace. He has a great sense of humour and was knowledgeable about tye surrounding area in terms of geography and wildlife.

Would recommend to anyone looking to explore more of Scotland or just looking for a great day out in nature.
